Most of the hype in digital transformation comes from news and media reports of Artificial Intelligence that equals or exceed the capability of human intelligence. Unfortunately, that is not true and digital transformation can be describe as any profound transformation of business and organizational activities, processes, competencies and models by a mix bag of new digital technologies.

Is an emerging form of business process automation technology based on the notion of software robots or intelligent agents. RPA helps automate repetitive task often doing so by repeating a set of demonstration actions performed by a user.

Artificial Intelligence

Here we are referring to Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI) as oppose to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Artificial Narrow Intelligence is gaining traction in society and already transformed society in a positive way simply by replacing human tasks that is usually simple but repetitive.
Artificial Intelligence can further be subdivided into Data Science and Machine Learning. Lots of media reports are on Machine Learning like Self Driving Cars, Game playing algorithms like AlphaGo beating the Go champion. The other domain less hype but delivering tremendous business values to organization is Data Science. Data Science focuses more on the discovery of meaningful insights in corporate data. Banking for example are using Data Science to predict credit card defaults and anomalies in credit transactions.
